The Projectionist is a series of collages based on the remains of a burnt dow sex cinema in Yorksstrasse, Berlin. From text fragments and details of films found in the cinema unfolds the story of a former surgeon, who arrived in Berlin in 1981 with nothing but a suitcase and an urge to forget the past. He found work in a seedy cinema which caught fire a year later. After the fire the projectionist disappeared. The work recreates this year with collages, a film and a sculpture built out of film projectors. In production.
